EPIC Dad CIC

Over the next couple of weeks, Bumblebee Class (Reception) are sharing texts which look at wants/needs, sharing and poverty. In order to enhance their learning, the class would like to start a food bank collection in support of EPIC Dad, a not-for-profit organisation based in West Suffolk with a focus on offering wellbeing, parenting, and family support to fathers, father figures and families in general.  All donated items will support the local community via a wide range of events that EPIC Dad offer, such as:

• A parent wellbeing drop-in which includes a ‘Wellbeing Table’ with various items such as toiletries and food that parents can help themselves to.
• A ‘Wellbeing Table’ available at their dads and children’s fun club.
• Family Wellbeing Stores through the year, when parents can make a donation then fill a bag with food, toiletries, household items, baby supplies etc.
• ‘Wellbeing Bags’ to support those struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

There will be a table out the front of their classroom (in the playground, next to the library); if you are able to donate any of the above items by Tuesday 21st May, that would be greatly appreciated.  Please see the attached flyer for more information about EPIC Dad.
